Project Background
Why We Chose Mori:
- Mori is in a central location in Uttarakhand surrounded by villages that we could serve
- Mori is at an optimal height, given the altitude of the surrounding area
- Mori had good access to electricity, water, internet connectivity, transport and communications infrastructure
- We have good relationship with NGOs on the ground in Uttarakhand (SRADHA). Mori is sufficiently remote to have limited access to medical facilities
Who Does This For Us?
The clinic is run by two onsite ANM nurses who are assisted by a support worker & doctors both in the UK and India.

- Frequent Zoom Clinic with Doctors in the UK for advice and support
The clinic in Kharsadi was opened in May 2022. The clinic is offering free medical care to the local population including Infants and Mothers at different stages of the pregnancy cycle.
We are providing simple over the counter medicines free of charge such as folic acid, multi-vitamins and pain relief medications as part of our clinic.
UK doctors are providing telemedicine support to our nurses regularly. We also will refer patients to appropriate health care facilities in the region who require higher level of care than what we can provide. We have an MOU with local secondary care centres who will accept our patients.
